The chamber has a perforated suction surface (3a,3b) provided for suction of spray. The suction surface is arranged in an inclined running manner. The suction surface extends from an upper area (6b) proximate a water beam (1a) and/or a drainage area up to a lower area (6c) of the chamber. The suction surface has openings with varying size cross sectional area. The distance between the individual openings is equal or variably large. An independent claim is also included for a device for water jet impact of fabrics, fabric made of strips of interlaced yarn and wool.
