<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for a photosensitive recording medium capable of preventing the alteration of recorded important information by adding a WORM function to the cartridge for the photosensitive recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The cartridge 2 for housing a photosensitive recording disk 4 comprises: a cartridge body 11 provided with openings 18 and 19 for exposing the center part 4a and recording surface 4b of the recording disk 4 to the outside; a shutter 13 attached to the outer side of the cartridge body 11 for opening and closing the openings 18 and 19; and an opening holding mechanism OH for holding the shutter 13 for opening and closing the openings 18 and 19 at an open position.
