PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of transmitting an image read using an image reading means to a server on a network, and moreover, transmitting an information needed in a track-back notification transmitted to a track-back destination address from the server, wherein the track-back notification employs the image transmitted to the server as a track-back source. SOLUTION: A reading object is scanned at a reader of a compound machine, and an image is read (S1005-S1015). An address used as the upload destination of the image is acquired from a blog server (S1020-S1025). Subsequently, when a track-back destination address is inputted beforehand (S1030:YES), the image scanned at the reader is uploaded to the blog server, along with the track-back destination address (S1035).
