PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent sealing film for a display element which is superior in its barrier property with few occurrences of cracks. SOLUTION: The sealing film (1) for the display element has a container (3) with its periphery (2) heat sealed and containing contents (4) in an unsealed part and is formed by facing and layering sealant films of: a front film (10) which is a lamination of at least a front base material stretching film (11), an inorganic oxide depositing plastic film (12) and a sealant film (13); and a backside film (20) which is a lamination of at least a backside base material stretching film (21), metal foil (22) and a sealant film (23). The total sum of the thickness of the stretching film in the front surface is twice or more than the total sum of the thickness of the stretching film on the backside. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
