PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable optical disk device by suppressing the temperature rise of a spindle motor driving circuit. SOLUTION: The optical disk device is provided with a spindle motor 2, a motor driving circuit 3, a temperature detection circuit 7 for detecting an atmospheric temperature, a motor control circuit 4, and a control circuit 13. By limiting the driving voltage of the spindle motor 2 according to the temperature difference of the prescribed period of the atmospheric temperature or delaying the input of the driving voltage, the temperature rise of the motor driving circuit 3 is suppressed even when the acceleration and deceleration of the rotating speed of the spindle motor 2 are repeated.
