PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation mechanism of a slide type shutter for covering a medium slot of an information apparatus which correctly operates and hardly causes inaccurate operation even in long-term use. SOLUTION: A horizontal slot 3 for taking a disk-like medium in and out is provided on the front surface of the information apparatus 1 and the slide type shutter 10 covering the slot 3 is provided. On the back surface of the shutter 10, racks 12L and 12R extended in a shutter slide direction are formed in parallel at an interval from each other. To an apparatus body 2, a shaft 14 for parallel feed to which pinions 13L and 13R to be engaged with the racks 12L and 12R are fixed is pivoted. A stepper 16 is freely slidably fitted to the shaft 14, and it is energized by a compression coil spring 18 and pressed to a click motion generation member 17 fixed to the back surface of the shutter 10.
