PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutchless compressor capable of inhibiting intrusion of water into a radial bearing even if a pulley manufactured by sheet metal working is used. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with a rotary shaft, a compression mechanism driven by the rotary shaft and a housing storing the rotary shaft and the compression mechanism. The rotary shaft extends out of the housing passing through a boss part of the housing. The pulley rotatably supported by the boss part of the housing via a radial bearing externally fitted and fixed on the boss part of the housing is connected to an end part of the rotary shaft extending out of the housing without via an electromagnetic clutch and is operatively engaged with an external drive source. An annular member is fixed on one end of the boss part of the pulley and an annular end surface facing the annular member with a small interval is formed on the housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
