PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping system which enables an indoor drainage source to be provided in an arbitrary position, away from an existing indoor drainage standpipe or a drainage basin, of an existing building such as an office building and a condominium building, and is used for constituting space-saving drainage pumping equipment excellent in maintainability without requiring the installation of a wastewater discharge tank and a trap for a drain pipe. SOLUTION: In this pumping system which is interposed between the indoor drainage source 13 and the indoor drainage standpipe 15 (or the drainage basin) communicating with a main drainage sewer, a pump suction port 5 can be disconnectedly connected to a drainage tube 14 led down from the indoor drainage source 13, and an outlet 10u of a trap 10 which is vertically provided in an orthogonal manner from the led-out end of an ejection pipe 8 led out in a downstream direction from a pump ejection port 7, is opened to be capable of being disconnectedly connected to an indoor drainage branch pipe 11 communicating with the standpipe 15 (or the drainage basin).
