PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving a bulk density of a coking coal in which the homogeneous mixing of the coking coal with a chemical (a bulk density-improving agent) is achieved without using a mixing device, and by which the bulk density of the coking coal can be improved without carrying out a treatment for removing water content of the coking coal having increased water content. SOLUTION: The method for improving the bulk density of the coking coal for producing the cokes involves adding the bulk density-improving agent of the coking coal for producing the cokes, regulated so as to have 10-45 mPa s viscosity, or the chemical regulated so as to have 10-45 mPa s viscosity to the coking coal for producing the cokes. The bulk density-improving agent regulated so as to have 10-45 mPa s viscosity is added to the coking coal for producing the cokes at a pretreatment step in the method for producing the cokes by charging the coking coal to a coke oven after carrying out the pretreatment step for improving the bulk density of the coking coal to be charged to the coke oven.
