PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus with an extremely less power consumption during the time of power saving mode. SOLUTION: In the printing apparatus 10, a secondary battery 22 is charged during the time of ordinary mode, and the electric power is supplied to respective sections (an IO control ASIC 12, an operating panel 13 and an I/F circuit 14) which are required to function during the time of the power saving mode.
