A mobile communication terminal and a display method of a video file by using the terminal are provided to display information on an non-executed video file as a default image when information on the stored video file is provided, thereby easily perceiving whether a video file is executed. A memory unit(140) stores a video file and a default image. A video module unit(130) decides whether the video file is executed, and extracts the first frame image in case of the executed video file to provide the extracted image as file information, then provides the default image as the file information in case of a non-executed video file. A display unit(150) displays information on the video file as the first frame image or the default image.
