<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly reach a picture including an item desired by a user from among a plurality of items without imposing any time and labor in an operation controller for displaying a picture including a plurality of items belonging to the same hierarchy such as the respective setting items of a setting picture in a navigation device, and for executing functions or processing corresponding to the content of the item selected by the user among the displayed items. <P>SOLUTION: A setting picture in a navigation device is provided with icons 21, 22 and 23 for dividing a picture. Then, the picture is divided into the number of division corresponding to the icons selected by the user among those icons 21, 22 and 23.
