<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water clarification equipment which can maintain a clarification capacity for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: A U-shaped channel 1 with a U-shaped cross section, and a clarification material layer 3 made by forming a water flow passage 2 on the bottom of the U-shaped channel 1 and laying clarification material 20 over the upper surface of the passage 2 are installed. An inlet gate 4 is installed at the inlet of the water flow passage 2, and an outlet gate 5 is installed at the outlet of the water flow passage 2. An inlet catch basin part 6 is installed upstream of the water flow passage 2, and an outlet catch basin part 7 is installed downstream of the water flow passage 2.
