PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ignition performance of each electrode for ignition in combination of a swirl flow with multi-point ignition, in a multi-point ignition type internal combustion engine in which a plurality of electrodes for ignition are arranged to an engine body around a combustion chamber. SOLUTION: The plurality of electrodes 60 for ignition are arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction of the combustion chamber 19 in which the swirl flow of air-fuel mixture is formed. Each inclined face toward each electrode 60 side is formed on an peripheral wall of the combustion chamber 19 at the upstream of each electrode 60 for ignition along a flowing direction 55 of the swirl flow.
