PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive and/or therapeutic agent for pulmonary disorders caused by X-ray irradiation. SOLUTION: The preventive and/or therapeutic agent for pulmonary disorders caused by X-ray irradiation contains a material for inhibiting functions associated with signal transmission of GPR4 as an effective component. The preventive and/or therapeutic agent for pulmonary disorders caused by X-ray irradiation contains an N-containing tricyclic compound expressed by formula (I) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>expresses a substituted or a non-substituted heterocyclic group, -NR<SP>5a</SP>R<SP>5b</SP>(wherein R<SP>5a</SP>and R<SP>5b</SP>are the same or different and express each H, a substituted or non-substituted lower alkyl or the like) or the like ; R<SP>2</SP>expresses each H or the like ; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are the same or different and express each H or the like; n expresses 0 or 1; X expresses -(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>2</SB>or the like; Y expresses formula (II) (wherein Z expresses CH or N; R<SP>8a</SP>and R<SP>8b</SP>are the same or different and express each H, a substituted or nonsubstituted lower alkyl or the like; R<SP>9</SP>expresses H or the like)], a quaternary ammonium salt of the same or a pharmaceutically permissible salt of the same as an effective ingredient.
