PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which conveys a printing medium from a medium cassette stored with the printing medium by a conveying means, performs printing on the printing medium conveyed with a printing means, enables supply from the outside through manual paper feeding, and can easily respond to the supply system by manual paper feeding. SOLUTION: The printer 1 can convey a printing paper 7 from a storage part 53 of the paper cassette 50 mounted to a cassette mounting part 45 by a conveying mechanism 30, and print by a printing mechanism. A cover 52 having an opening manual paper insertion port 58 is mounted to the paper cassette 50 so as to cover the storage part 53, and enables printing with the manual paper supply system by using the printing mechanism 20 and the conveying mechanism 30 by mounting a manual feed printing attachment 60 in the storage part 53.
