PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of performing the efficient evacuating operation while avoiding an increase of the capacity of a private power generation source. SOLUTION: A group controlling device 3 controls the operations of No. 1 to No. N elevator devices according to a plurality of operational modes including the normal operational mode, the normal power failure operational mode, and the fire power failure operational mode. In the normal power failure operational mode, after every car is moved to a predetermined floor by using the private power generation source, and a door is opened, at least one car is set in an operation stop condition. In the fire power failure operational mode, the car is evacuation-operated according to the evacuation operational command input from an evacuation operational command preparing device 7 by using the private power generation source.
