The unit comprises a long round beam (2) with several transversally positioned shorter holding elements (3). The outer ends of the beam (2) are held in cylindrical bearings (5), facilitating a circular motion of the beam (2) and joined with vertical elements (4) to the roof. An appropriate number of solar panels (6) can be inserted between each pair of holding elements (3). The complete unit can be slightly rotated twice a year in order to be adjusted to the position of the sun.
