METHOD FOR FORMING ELECTRODES OF A LEAD-ACID ACCUMULATOR BY PULSE CURRENT

The proposed method for forming electrodes of a lead-acid accumulator by pulse current consists in transmitting pulse current with a constant amplitude through the electrodes at different stages of the formation process. The length of the current pulses is 15 ... 16 s, and the length of intervals between the pulses is 2 ... 3 s. The advantages of proposed method are the more effective use of the charging current of the accumulator and the reduction of consumed power in the process of forming the accumulator electrodes.
