The system has an evaluating device evaluating a movement path (C) for a trailer (B) based on actual trailer-towing vehicle-angle positions. The trailer is prospectively moved along the movement path when the actual trailer-towing vehicle-angle positions are unchanged maintained. An image displaying device displays an evaluated movement path (D) of a towing vehicle-trailer-combination and the movement path (C) of the trailer in a common image (400). An independent claim is also included for a method for assisting a driver of a towing vehicle-trailer-combination during reversing.
