<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which properly utilizes information of a plurality of past images when a newly acquired image is evaluated on the basis of the past images. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus disclosed herein receives an image (S11), evaluates the received image (S12), and stores a result of the evaluation to a storage medium (S13, S14). The image processing apparatus determines whether the result of evaluation stored in the storage medium is reset (S134), and resets the evaluation result stored in the storage medium (S153), when the image processing apparatus determines resetting of the evaluation result (S135).
