<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode activator which further improves chemical stability, a manufacturing method of the same, and a battery. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode activator is manufactured by applying a heat treatment to a mixed compound containing a first precursor having covering precursor containing Ni or Mn on Li<SB>1+x</SB>Co<SB>1-y</SB>M1<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2-z</SB>(M1 is another metallic element, or semi-metallic element, -0.10≤x≤0.10, 0≤y<0.50, -0.10≤z≤0.20), a second precursor containing an oxide or hydroxide of which average composition of metallic element and semi-metallic element is expressed by Co<SB>1-a-b-c</SB>Ni<SB>a</SB>Mn<SB>b</SB>M2<SB>c</SB>(M2 is another metallic element or semi-metallic element, 0≤a<0.85, 0≤b<0.50, 0≤c<0.10, 0<a+b+c≤1), and lithium compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
