PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray source capable of efficiently cooling the control circuit substrate. SOLUTION: The X-ray source 1 is provided with an X-ray generation part 5 having an X-ray tube housing part 11 to house an X-ray tube 9, a high-voltage power supply part 13 of a structure that a high-voltage supply circuit 13b to supply a voltage to the X-ray tube 9 is molded in an insulating block 13f, the control circuit substrate 19 for controlling the X-ray generation part 5, and a cabinet 3 that houses them. A substrate arranging space A, as a ventilation region to make air flow, is formed at a position of pinching the power supply part 13 with the X-ray tube housing part 11.
