METHOD FOR ELIMINATING DEFECT OF PERIPHERAL PART OF SLIDER OCCURRING IN CONVENTIONAL MACHINING PROCESSES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for eliminating defects of a peripheral part of a slider which occurs in a conventional machining process. SOLUTION: A method for machining a slider is disclosed. The slider may be cut into small cubes from a row bar. A clean air jet may dry the slider. A lasers guided by a water jet can finely cut the peripheral part of the slider. The end of the slider and the corner of its front end can be chamfered in a prescribe diameter.
