PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring device for measuring the roundness and parallelism of a raceway surface in a shell type outer ring rolled stably. SOLUTION: The shape measuring device for the shell type outer ring has a reference ring 32 having an inside diameter hole 35, a probe part 33 for measuring an inside diametric face 26 of the shell type outer ring 22 pressed into the inside diameter hole 35 and an outside diametric face of the reference ring 32 or a bus bar shape of the inside diametric face, and a probe moving means for scanning the probe part 33 axial-directionally to be moved.
