PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable ignitor that can be compactly folded without causing burns or burning of cloths even it is still hot after use, and to minimize a storage space for the ignitor. SOLUTION: The foldable ignitor 1 is composed of a body 2 having a fuel tank, a piezoelectric unit 102, and an operation member 8, and a turning arm part 4 with one end turnably coupled to the body 2, and a flame jetting nozzle 94 housed in another end. At least one of the body 2 or the turning arm part 4 has a cylinder wall 26c forming a circular space, and a pipe assembly 20 is slidably housed in the turning arm part 4. A body side end 88 of the pipe assembly 20 is extended to the circular space, and a stopper 41 acting so as to project a nozzle side end of the pipe assembly 20 outward from an opening, and an engagement part 40 acting so as to withdraw the nozzle side end of the pipe assembly 20 into the turning arm part 4 are provided in the circular space of the body 2.
