PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing mechanism in a duct for air conditioning or the like capable of easily carrying out attachment with respect to the duct even at an installation site of the duct for air conditioning or the like. SOLUTION: Cross sectionally U-shaped fitting members 1 capable of fitting on connection flanges 51 provided in an opening end of the duct 5 are respectively attached, via screwing of a screw 21 and a pair of nuts 33 and 33', to both ends of a reinforcing rod 2 of a length crossing between opposing wall surfaces in the opening end of the duct 5.
