PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assemblability by reducing the number of parts while increasing the area of a rotating body side electrode facing the area of a case side electrode in an electroviscous fluid damper. SOLUTION: In this electroviscous fluid damper 20, projected parts K projecting to the axial one side are formed on a rotating body 40, and projected parts L projecting to the axial other side are formed on a case 30. The projected parts K of the rotating body 40 are engaged with the projected parts L of the case 30 through clearances so that the rotating body and the case can be rotated relative to each other. One electrodes 40A are formed on the projected parts K of the rotating body 40, and the other electrodes 30A are formed on the projected parts L of the case 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
