PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer dispersant that can give a pigment dispersion having excellent low-temperature stability and can suppress the deterioration during the storage, and particularly provide a coloring composition for color filter having low temperature stability and highly suppressed deterioration during the storage. SOLUTION: The polymer dispersant for pigment comprises a main chain of polyethylene imine having a molecular weight of 100 to 20,000 and the graft chain connected to the main chain where the graft chain is a low crystallinity polyalcanoic acid ester having a molecular weight of 500 to 40,000 and bears alkyl groups as side chains, and is a low crystallinity polyalcanoic acid ester having an alkyl group as a side chain in which the number of the graft chains is 1 to 20 per one molecule.
