PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous external preparation for skin having transparent appearance, good using sense without stickiness and high temporal stability, particularly provide transparent skin lotion. SOLUTION: The external preparation for skin includes more than 0.003 mass% of ubiquinone and hydrogenated castor oil bearing 30 to 40 moles added polyoxyethylene glycol. The method for producing the same has the following steps: ubiquinone is dissolved in molten hydrogenated castor oil bearing 30 to 40 moles added polyoxyethylene glycol and the resultant mixed solution is added to water phase and they are mixed to prepare the cosmetic solution.
