The invention relates to a liquid heating device comprising a body provided with a liquid flow channel which comprises a liquid inlet (10) and a liquid outlet (20) and is connected to at least one electrical heating body (14) whose feeding is controlled by switching means (16) connected to control means (18). The inventive device is characterised in that the channel consists of at least one first and second portions (12) thereof which are connected to each other by a third channel portion forming a connection conduit (32), each first and second channel portion are associated with at least one heating body (14) and the connection conduit is associated with an intermediate temperature sensor (48) connected to said control means for controlling the heating body of said at least second channel portion according to the quantity of useful energy supplyable thereto in order to raise the intermediate temperature measured by the intermediate temperature sensor to a specified temperature level.
