<p>The method involves connecting network nodes assigned to data bytes of a data file in a graph by network links, where the nodes are assigned directly to a preceding data byte of the data file. The nodes and network edges are assigned with initial value. A cost-optimized path is determined in the graph and a delta file is generated based on the cost-optimized path, where a sequence of data processing steps corresponds to a successive sequence of network nodes in the cost-optimized path. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a machine readable program code for an electronic data processing device that contains control commands, which cause the device to execute a method of generating delta files that encode a difference between two data files (2) a storage medium with a machine readable program code that is stored on the storage medium.</p> |
