A method for automatically adjusting audio in a vehicle information terminal is provided to automatically adjust audio output volume for an on dash type telematics terminal mounted on a vehicle according to a driving speed of the vehicle acquired from GPS(Global Positioning System) information. A control unit receives driving speed information of a vehicle calculated by a GPS signal(S10,S11). The control unit variably adjusts the audio output volume of an on dash type information terminal according to a vehicle driving speed grasped by the driving speed information(S12-S15).
