摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device and its manufacturing method with which an image is displayed with high contrast while reducing a region, where a homeotropic alignment layer is not formed, without having to increase the manufacturing steps, and to provide an electronic apparatus equipped with the liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: An angleθ2 of inclination which a side face 17c forms with a flat face of a third interlayer insulating film 43 is 17°, and an angleδ2 of deposition which an inorganic material deposited forms with the side face 17c is 62°(45°+17°). In addition, a pretilt angleθp2, which a liquid crystal 50a forms with an alignment layer 16 on the side face 17c, is 18.57°, as shown in Figure 9, and thus the angleθ2 of inclination of the side face 17c is set to be smaller than the pretilt angleθp2. As a result, even when the alignment layer 16 is formed by using an oblique vapor deposition method in a state in which a level difference section 17 is arranged on the third interlayer insulating film 43, the alignment layer 16 is formed over the entire level difference section 17 and a pixel electrode 9a, without unevenness.
