PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which, even in the event of a rise in the temperature of a heat exchanger operating as a condenser, can keep a compressor operating by keeping the compressor from stopping. SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: an indoor unit 10 with an indoor heat exchanger 12 which operates as a condenser during heating and as an evaporator during cooling, and an indoor fan 20 for supplying air to the indoor heat exchanger 12; and an outdoor unit 30 with an outdoor heat exchanger 32 which operates as an evaporator during heating and as a condenser during cooling, and an outdoor fan 42 for supplying air to the outdoor heat exchanger 32. A control part 40 determines whether or not the temperature detected by a heat-exchange sensor at the heat exchanger operating as the condenser exceeds a temperature limit.
