<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of optical compensation sheet which prevents thickening in the lapse of time upon the coating of light diffusion layer coating liquid, can maintain a satisfactory and stable coating property, prevents particle sedimentation, can reliably apply a desired amount of particles and does not dissolve particles, and to provide an optical compensation sheet which is manufactured by the manufacturing method of optical compensation sheet and has an excellent light diffusing property and light transmitting property. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of optical compensation sheet comprises at least a process of forming a light diffusing layer on a support by applying a light diffusing layer coating liquid containing at least binder and organic particles onto the support, wherein, just before applying the light diffusing layer coating liquid onto the support, a crosslinking agent liquid containing at least either isocyanate compound or epoxy resin is added to the light diffusing layer coating liquid and both liquids are mixed.
