PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that specifies a subject with high precision by using infrared rays. SOLUTION: In a digital camera 1, an imaging element 6 photographs a field including a subject in units of a plurality of pixels and outputs imaging data, and a photographer sets the temperature of a desired subject to be detected as set subject temperature by using a switch 11. An infrared sensor 5 images the field in a plurality of pixels after decomposing it into infrared light components and outputs infrared light data comprising infrared component level information in units of the plurality of pixels, and a temperature sensor 7 detects ambient temperature of the digital camera 1. A signal processor 10 specifies pixels corresponding to the subject to be detected among a plurality of pixels of the imaging data, based on the infrared light data from the infrared sensor 5, the set subject temperature that the photographer sets, and the ambient temperature detected by the temperature sensor 7.
