PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making lubricant for a clean room having an extremely high commercial value, a sliding device, a rotating device. SOLUTION: This lubricant is a lubricant to be imparted to a sliding device 3 which allows a sliding body 2 to slide along a shaft 1 or a rotating device which allows a rotor to rotate on the shaft and contains a liquid crystal compound.
