PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information processor capable of transforming a gradation part in a bit map image into a vector image having small data volume. SOLUTION: A CPU 21 extracts a gradation area, i.e. an area consisting of pixels having gradation in a continued direction of pixels, from bit map image data read out from a data memory 23 at first. Then the CPU 21 calculates the average change rate of density of the pixels included in the extracted gradation area and converts the bit map image data of pixels in the gradation areas into gradation image data expressing the gradation by using the calculated average change rate of density.
