PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update prescribed data with neither requiring a complicated determination and operation in a user side nor causing a trouble in the use of a user's apparatus. SOLUTION: When updating data stored in a nonvolatile memory 102 having a plurality of blocks, an access block storage section 107 detects to which block in the nonvolatile memory 102 it accesses and stores it as access block information. A rewrite command section 109 commands to acquire rewrite data for updating the data of the block, a download section 111 downloads the rewrite data, and a writing section 111 writes the rewrite data into a unused block. When a casing closing detecting part 108 detects the closing of the casing of a personal digital assistance 101, a block changeover section 114 changes over a block for use in the nonvolatile memory 102 from the block before the rewrite to the block written with the rewrite data so as to update the data.
