SHEET CUTTER AND BOOK-BINDING DEVICE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutter and a book-binding device using it, surely removing chips adhering to a blade receiving surface provided on the back of a sheet stack in a simple structure. SOLUTION: This sheet cutter includes: a sheet holding means for holding a sheaf of sheets in a predetermined cutting position; a cutting blade disposed in the cutting device and freely move between a refuge position away from a sheet and a cutting device; and a blade receiving member disposed opposite to the cutting blade through the sheet and having a blade receiving surface coming into contact with the cutting blade. A sweeper member for removing the sheet chips from the above blade receiving surface is disposed in the vicinity of downstream side of the cutting device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
