PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of noise generated by vibration by restraining engine vibration by reducing 0.5-order vibration generated by a sub-connecting rod in a stroke variable engine. SOLUTION: A gravity center position of the sub-connecting rod 37A is set so that a distance between the gravity center position of the sub-connecting rod 37A and the axis of a crank pin 25a becomes smaller than a distance between a connecting point of a main connecting rod to the sub-connecting rod 37A and the gravity center position and a distance between a connecting point of a control rod to the sub-connecting rod 37A and the gravity center position.
