The present invention discloses an indoor unit for an air conditioner which generates and discharges cool air in a casing in which an evaporator and a ventilation device are installed. Meshed safety nets for preventing insertion of fingers and reducing fan passage resistances are installed on discharge holes, to improve safety and reduce discharge passage resistances.
