BEAM SPLITTING METHOD WITH A MIRROR AND OPTICAL DEVICE THEREOF

A beam splitting method using a mirror and an optical device using the method are provided to apply for a wide wavelength band independently of a wavelength by using the reflection characteristic of the mirror and to cut down the cost by simplifying the structure. In a beam splitting method, a plane mirror(10) comprising a light reflecting unit(12) and a light transmitting unit(14) is inclined at a predetermined angle to the incident beam. One incident beam is split into two by reflecting the beam incident to the light reflecting unit and transmitting the beam incident to the light transmitting unit. The reflecting unit corresponds to the center portion of the plane mirror and the transmitting unit corresponds to the peripheral portion of the plane mirror.
