<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access control method for reducing any processing load necessary for the discrimination processing of access validity/invalidity. <P>SOLUTION: The access control system 1000 is provided with a printer 200 and a PC 300. The PC 300 generates a permission list 203 and an inhibition list 204 from an access control list 201, and adopts the list where the number of items is smaller between the permission list 203 and the inhibition list 204 as the access control token of the PC 300.
