<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which permits the installation of a driver required by a user and the improvement of the user's convenience by presenting device information appropriate to an information processor in accordance with a network environment, and a method of controlling the device and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The operating mode of the image forming device is determined. A request for information sent from the information processor is received.
