<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake device capable of providing a large braking force by a small input for operating a brake and enabling a reduction in the size of an actuator outputting the input for operating the brake. <P>SOLUTION: In this disk brake device, the linear input for operating the brake provided by the operation of the electric actuator 20 is converted into the output for operating the brake in the axial direction of a piston 14 by a wedge transmission mechanism 30. The piston 14 axially slidably fitted to the cylinder part 15b of a caliper 15 is driven in the axial direction by the output for operating the brake to push a pad 12 toward a disk rotor 11. A frictional force between the pad 12 and the disk rotor 11 in the rotor peripheral direction is taken out, as an anchor load, by hydraulic cylinders A1, A2 as an anchor mechanism.
