<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emit light from an arbitrary desired position of an emission surface. <P>SOLUTION: This light guide plate 2 comprises an incident surface part 3 for guiding light; an emission surface part 6 for emitting the guided light to the outside; an opposite to emission surface part 5 located on the side opposite to the emission surface part 6; and side-surface parts 4 connected to the emission surface part 6 and the opposite to emission surface part 5. The opposite to emission surface part 5 is provided with a reflecting surface part for setting incident angle that is not smaller than Sin<SP>-1</SP>(1/n) än is a refraction index}, with respect to the normal line so as to reflect the light guided from the incident surface part 3 from the incident surface part 3 toward the side surface parts 4 and for reflecting it toward the emission surface part 6.
