<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of an active-type noncontact information memory device into which an IC card is inserted. <P>SOLUTION: In an information access system 204 for accessing information in the noncontact information memory device, a detecting means in the active type noncontact information memory device detects the presence of the IC card. When the presence of the IC card 620 is detected by the detecting means 606, a control section 210 enables a writing means 602 and supplies an ID request to an IC card reading means and the IC card reading and writing means, and receives the ID and the data of the IC card read by the IC reading and writing means, in response to the ID request, and then disables the IC card reading and writing means. When receiving sections 190 and 250 receive RF signals f<SB>1</SB>, transferring this ID request from a noncontact information reading and writing device 302, in response to the RF signal that transfers ID request, the control section also operates transmission sections 190 and 230 to transmit RF signals f<SB>2</SB>and f<SB>2i</SB>for transferring responses that contain the ID of the IC card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
