PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a picture which is easy for a user to see and to display a keyword on which a program choice is based at need. SOLUTION: A star-shaped icon 85A is also displayed as information on a program on the right side of a channel icon 85. The icon 85A shows that a program "Ocean Deluxe" currently selected and broadcast over channel 4 is a recommended program. Which program is recommended is determined according to whether a previously registered keyword is included in program information. When a user operates an option key in a state shown by Fig.2, the same keyword as a keyword registered by the user which is included in the program information is displayed in response.
